 | Complete the Strategy Briefing The first step in the process is to complete the strategy briefing— this tells us all about your business and clients so that we can develop a solution effective at generating leads for you! Before we begin, we ask that you do a little bit of homework by providing the following:
• web sites with similar business models that you like and what you like about them. Look for sites outside of your geography. Larger cities usually offer good examples of competitor’s sites. • a list of your competitors and what you like and don’t like about their sites. • a list of what you like and don’t like about your current site • a general list of what you think you want on your site • a list of what you specialize in • any photos you want on the site • any current logos or brand graphics you want on the site
Organize domain management early in the process You will be sent a form to provide information about your domain administrator, passwords, and email addresses. Doing this early helps create a smooth transition when taking your site ‘live’ and allows your site and email service to work like it should...from Day 1.
Set up your client database We use the completed strategy briefing to understand how best to set up your new database. You’ll need to investigate what customer information you have now and what data might be useful in promoting an improved, more valuable relationship with these customers going forward. Keep in mind that selected database fields can be presented as forms on your new site so visitor information can be collected easily. We’ll need your current customer data supplied in a Microsoft Excel (.xls) or Comma Separated Values (.csv) format.
Copywriting and Information Design We use the completed strategy briefing to write your site. We will write each page, making sure that the copy is specifically written for the web with the aim of generating qualified traffic and interactivity.
Design your site Based on conversations during the strategy session, we will either develop a totally new ‘look and feel’ for your site or update your existing one.
Using the copy written for the home page and one content page we will design the look of your site. Then, once you approve it, we will design the remaining page as well as email promotions and newsletter templates. Note that we first design your site offline (static), and once you have approved it, we configure it online.
Configure your site Now it’s time for your site to come alive! The configuration process includes placing all of the graphic images and type into the ASENZ360 platform before linking and forms are built. We’ll also configure your email promotion and newsletter templates. You will be able to view your site in our ASENZ360 platform before it goes live for public viewing.
Optimize your site (Search Engine Optimization) Optimization is the final thing we do before going live. It’s one of the most important steps we take and, in most cases, is a monthly ongoing process. SEO makes sure you are being found on the Internet when people are searching for your product or service.
Take your site LIVE! After you approve your designed, configured and optimized site, we push the button and it’s up and running!
Training If you are going to be responsible for site changes, you will be trained on how to do so. Or, we can do all or some of the work for you!
